School donation ceremony. This school is in much need of help. The teachers are paid $20 per month and their monthly salary is not always consistant. Sometimes they can go two months without getting paid. How can you have people devoted to teaching when the $20 a month can barely support themselves, let alone their family. Without education, living conditions will not change for the better. If we don't at least make an attempt to help these people, they will just live day to day without any hope whatsoever. If we were in their situation, I'm sure we would be hoping that people who are capable of helping will come save their day. In America, the opportunities are endless and there are resources out there who can help us help ourselves. And yet, we still struggle. There are no such opportunities and/or resources in Cambodia and so, we can not blame them for not being able to help themselves.
